Question 1

What is GoLinks?

Accepted Answer

GoLinks is an AI-driven platform that enables teams to retrieve and share internal resources quickly using short, memorable internal links called Go Links®. It helps organizations centralize knowledge, reduce friction with long URLs, and improve productivity across teams.

Question 2

How does GoLinks work?

Accepted Answer

GoLinks lets you convert long or complex URLs — for documents, dashboards, repos, wikis, etc. — into short, human-readable aliases (e.g. go/it-help). When someone in your team uses that alias, they are redirected to the target resource instantly, eliminating the need to dig through bookmarks, emails, or file trees.

Question 3

What features does GoLinks offer?

Accepted Answer

Key features of GoLinks include: GO-link types (private links, unlisted links, multi-links, variable links, geo-links, aliases), collections and tags for organizing links, analytics and usage trends, browser extensions, mobile apps (iOS & Android), API & webhooks for custom integrations, QR-code generation, and role-based access control with enterprise-grade security. GoLinks also offers an AI assistant (GoAI) to help surface relevant resources quickly when exact aliases aren't known.

Question 4

What is GoAI and how does it enhance GoLinks?

Accepted Answer

GoAI is GoLinks' generative-AI feature that helps users find what they need even if they don't know the exact alias. It performs semantic and lexical analysis to suggest matches, improving searchability and discovery across an organization's internal knowledge base.

Question 5

Why should teams use GoLinks — what are the benefits?

Accepted Answer

Using GoLinks can significantly speed up access to internal resources, reduce context-switching, avoid link rot or messy URLs, standardize how links are shared across teams, and improve onboarding and knowledge discovery. It helps break down knowledge silos and centralize resources across apps and tools.

Question 6

Does GoLinks integrate with other tools and platforms?

Accepted Answer

Yes — GoLinks supports integrations with many popular tools and platforms (e.g. wikis, code repos, docs, project-management tools) and offers browser extensions and apps so that Go Links can be accessed from anywhere. There are also APIs and webhooks for building custom integrations.

Question 7

Is GoLinks secure for enterprise usage?

Accepted Answer

Yes — GoLinks supports enterprise-grade security measures including role-based access control, Single Sign-On (SSO) with provisioning/deprovisioning (SCIM), support for multiple domains, encrypted data storage, and no VPN requirement. It's built to work securely across teams and departments.

Question 8

Who can benefit from using GoLinks?

Accepted Answer

Teams across engineering, IT, HR, marketing, sales, design, customer support, and project management — basically any group that uses shared digital resources — can benefit from GoLinks to streamline resource access, share documentation, track dashboards, host wikis, and more.

Question 9

Does GoLinks support mobile access?

Accepted Answer

Yes — GoLinks offers mobile apps for both iOS and Android, ensuring that team members can access internal resources on the go without needing a desktop or VPN.

Question 10

How can I try or purchase GoLinks?

Accepted Answer

You can request a demo on golinks.io, and evaluate different plans depending on team size and feature needs. Pricing scales with user count and enterprise requirements.

Question 11

How does GoLinks compare with public URL shorteners like Bitly or Rebrandly?

Accepted Answer

Unlike Bitly or Rebrandly — which are primarily designed for public URL shortening (e.g. marketing links) — GoLinks is optimized for internal link management and knowledge sharing. GoLinks supports human-readable go/ aliasing, link editing, link grouping and organization, analytics, secure internal access via SSO/permissions, and integrations with business tools. This makes it more suitable for intranet, internal docs, code-repos, dashboards, and private resources rather than public marketing links.

Question 12

What are some alternatives to GoLinks for internal knowledge management / link sharing — and how do they compare?

Accepted Answer

Alternatives include internal-wiki / knowledge-base tools such as Notion, Confluence, Slite, Nuclino, among others. Notion provides flexible customization and supports various content types (docs, databases, dashboards), and is easy to adopt, though searchability and enterprise-scale structure may lag for very large orgs. Confluence is well-suited for large teams needing structured documentation, robust permissions and deep integrations (e.g. with issue-tracking systems). Tools like Slite or Nuclino trade some advanced features for easier onboarding or lighter-weight knowledge bases. By contrast, GoLinks serves as a unifying layer focused on link-level access: for organizations already using wikis, docs, repos, dashboards etc., GoLinks adds a simple, consistent, alias-based entry point across them — often improving discoverability and reducing friction compared with navigating multiple siloed tools.

Question 13

When does GoLinks make sense vs when might a wiki or knowledge-base tool make more sense?

Accepted Answer

If your team's knowledge is spread across many systems (dashboards, docs, repos, tickets, wikis, etc.), and you want a simple, unified way to access resources via memorable aliases, GoLinks makes sense. If instead you need to build and maintain rich documents, collaborate on content, manage versioned docs, or structure long-form knowledge (handbooks, SOPs, policies), a wiki/knowledge-base tool like Confluence or Notion might complement or even replace GoLinks — especially for content creation rather than just linking.
